Knowledge On Ethnic Musical Instruments!

To say that most of the ethnic instruments are connected to other instruments in some way will not be wrong. The Indian Tabla drums and the Djembe drums were though having their origin of different countries, but they belong to the same family of a percussion instrument called Drums. Thus they belong into a group called ethnic instruments.
The Indian Tabla Drums, which had its origin in North India, have an ecstatic sound leaving the listeners attracted towards it. It is now played in all popular, religious and world music.
Though Djembe Drums has its origin in Africa, have become very popular today all over the world! It is said that the Djembe Drums are the ideal representative of the tradition of West Africa all over the world. Unison of everybody to celebrate is the significance of the word “Djembe”.
Earlier there was a belief that that the instrument players like Drums and Tabla players are just helper to give support to the main vocalists. But this belief among people has changed. Now the musicians who play these ethnic instruments have gained a huge popularity for themselves and for the instruments too. They are highly accepted by people all over the world.
Apart from all these the Bodhran, which is an Irish, drum. Initially the Bodhran drums were made of goatskins but now integrated systems are being used for its fine performance.
