You Are Involved

This might sound ironic but in our company we don’t have our own canteen. During lunch time, some would eat at the fast food chains, some would bring their own food from home and most of us orders food from Annie.

Annie has a catering service. She delivers food in the office. She’s a good cook, her food is healthy and she prepares them in a clean area.  The other day, we had the chance to visit here mini restaurant where she prepares the food that she delivers to us. We noticed the industrial supplies that she has in her cooking area. The maps, brooms and brushes were hidden in its proper place and it’s clean. She is also very strict when it comes to skin care and personal hygiene of her employees. She makes sure that they wash their hands properly every now and then.

When we went inside her office, bond papers, pens and any other office supplies were scattered everywhere. She uses them for labeling the food container for easy delivery.  It’s very helpful and convenient even for a small catering business like Ate Annie has having these supplies at hand.

I wanted my bedroom to have new floors, so I decided to go hardwood. My friends told me that this was not an easy job to do, so I needed to contact professionals to do this for me. One of my friends just called a company that only asks for cheap payment, so she went with that. Unfortunately, she wasn’t happy or even satisfied with the work. The company used only cheap wood and poor materials to put the floor so it ended up looking fake and messy. I didn’t want this to happen to me.

So I was on the hunt to find the perfect flooring Raleigh company so I searched the internet. Good thing I found this website that offers so many services not just flooring. I have seen that they have been at it for quite awhile, so I was secured with the fact that I wasn’t going to be part of a fraud. My brother would be celebrating his 45^th birthday next month.  He was the eldest in the family.  Almost his entire life was dedicated in helping our parents and his siblings.  When he married life was not easy for him too.  Since he had 7 kids, his wife decided to stay in the house and be a full time mother and wife.  However, I noticed that even with their current situation, they were not affected by it.  My brother had a 1981 Ford Granada that was so useful until it broke down one day.  The mechanic who looked at it told him about a screw in the clutch being broken.  My brother had not enough money to have the car done.

We decided to surprise him. My other siblings and I called the transmission repair Clearwater.  We wanted the car done the following week.  They towed the car to their shop.  They also offered clutch repair service.  It was my first time to visit their shop and I was so amazed by their clients.  The place was almost full of different make or models of car.  They had been very patient in repairing my brother’s car even how old it was. 

My brother was teary-eyed when he saw his old car waiting outside for in the yard.  It was the best gift he received according to him.

Moving to another place can be stressful.  For one, you would have to pack every single item in your house that you would want to bring with you. Of course, you don’t just pack them haphazardly into boxes lest you want them all to be damaged by the time they reach their destination.   Another thing to think about is to check for local moving companies that can be relied on to move your stuff.

I am actually feeling the stress now because I would soon be moving to another place and I have yet to start packing my stuff.  Good thing I was able to find a Raleigh moving service that would help me pack the big stuff like my couch, bed and refrigerator.  I was glad to have found them for I have no idea on what to do with my stuff.  Their rates are affordable too so I won’t have to shell out a huge amount of money just to have my things moved to my new place.  I have already set a date when they will be coming over to help me pack my stuff and have them shipped out of here to my new city.

Life is so unpredictable and there are times when it gets rough. I never thought that I would sell diamonds just to be able to cope with it. It is hard of course, because those were special. My boyfriend gave them to me before he left and went to Hong Kong.  We have lost all communications, after two months since he left. A year has passed and he still hadn’t contacted me in any means possible, through mail, text messages or even phone calls. I guess it means that the dream is over and it’s time to move on with my life.
